Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply to Saiberlab projects and to your use of this site.

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Overview

These terms apply to the design and development services Saiberlab provides, and to your use of this website. A signed proposal or statement of work sits alongside them and takes precedence where the two differ.

Quotations and acceptance

Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue and are based on the scope described in the quote. A project is confirmed when you accept the quote and the deposit is received.

Accepting a quote through the link we send you has the same effect as accepting it in writing. We record the date, time and IP address of that acceptance.

Online estimates

The estimate calculator on this site gives an indicative price based on the options you select and the prices published at the time. It is not a quotation and it is not binding on either of us.

Every request is reviewed by a person. Where a selection needs individual pricing, or where what you describe differs from what the options assume, we will confirm the scope with you and issue a written quote. The written quote is the figure that counts.

Scope and revisions

Each package includes a stated number of revision rounds. A revision round means one consolidated set of feedback from you and our response to it.

Work that falls outside the agreed scope — additional pages, new features, or a change of direction after a design is approved — is quoted separately before we begin it.

Payment

Projects are invoiced as a deposit to reserve the schedule and start work, with the balance due at the milestones set out in the proposal. Final files and site handover follow settlement of the final invoice.

Invoices are payable within 14 days. Work may be paused on overdue accounts.

We do not accept card payments through this website. Invoices are settled by cheque, bank transfer, Interac e-Transfer, cash, or by card in person.

Where a quote has been prepared on the basis of a cash discount, that discount is conditional on payment by the method indicated. If the invoice is settled another way, the discount is removed and the undiscounted amount becomes payable.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide content, brand assets, access credentials and feedback within the timeframes we agree, and to confirm that you own or are licensed to use any material you supply to us.

Timelines

The timeline in your proposal assumes feedback and content arrive as scheduled. Delays in either shift the delivery date accordingly, and we will tell you as soon as we see a date at risk.

Intellectual property

On final payment, ownership of the delivered design and custom code for your site transfers to you.

We retain ownership of any pre-existing tools, libraries or components we bring to the project, licensed to you for use in the delivered site. Third-party themes, plugins, fonts and stock imagery remain subject to their own licences.

Third-party services

Websites we build may rely on third-party services such as hosting, domain registration, plugins and payment processors. Those services are governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, pricing or changes.

Portfolio use

Unless you ask us otherwise in writing, we may show the work we produce for you in our portfolio and case studies.

Warranties and liability

We will perform our services with reasonable skill and care. For 30 days after launch we will correct defects in our work at no charge.

We do not warrant that a website will be uninterrupted or error-free, and our total liability in connection with a project is limited to the fees paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profit or data.

Termination

Either party may end a project in writing. If you end a project, fees for work completed to that point remain payable and the deposit is non-refundable.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and the courts of Ontario have exclusive jurisdiction.
